This wireless digital communication system is totally free of interference and noise and surpasses all other FM modulation wireless devices. The AZDEN PRO-XR digital wireless Lav microphone kit is ideal for all talking head and interview video production work. Includes 3.5mm cord for connection to DSLRs. When connecting to the XLR inputs of some camcorders, a 3.5 mm mini-phone to XLR adapter cord accessory is required (see accessories below).

Further fortifying the system’s resistance to interference, PRO-XR employs Azden’s proprietary Signal Redundancy Technology, in which the transmitter sends two copies of its signal to the receiver at all times, each on a different frequency. If the receiver predicts interference of the primary signal, it will instantly switch to using the secondary signal without any interruptions.

The transmitter power output is adjustable. You can increase the transmission output power of the transmitter to adapt to challenging environments. Use the default 20 mW setting for optimal battery life and excellent performance in most situations. Optionally increase the output power to 50 mW or 100 mW for better performance at extreme distances, or to overcome line-of-sight obstructions and over-crowded Wi-Fi environments. Combining the 100 mW output with the use of the included high-gain transmitter antenna can extend the range of the system up to an incredible 500 feet.  Increasing the transmitter power will reduce the battery.

Utilizing digital wireless technology, the AZDEN PRO-XR operates in the 2.4GHz range which is completely free of TV and radio interference. The PRO-XR outperforms similarly priced VHF and UHF systems with better than CD quality digital audio. This system delivers dependable operation to a distance of 200 feet (and beyond with direct line of sight). Start up is quick and reliable with automatic syncing between receiver and transmitter. These units have internal Li-ion rechargeable batteries with a USB charging ports. The output of the wireless receiver is a stereo 3.5 mm mini-phone jack.  The receiver includes a 3.5 mm mini-phone stereo headphone monitor jack.

The included XLR adapter cord provides simple audio connection to a camcorder with XLR audio inputs. The included smartphone adapter cords allows direct connection to the headphone port on your smartphone, or the lightning port on iPhones.  It also includes an charging AC adapter with dual charging cord and a smartphone mount with tripod thread.

While many other digital wireless systems are moving to under-performing internal antennas, the PRO-XR system employs a more reliable external antenna design and comes with two interchangeable antenna options for the transmitter: a flexible antenna for comfortable and inconspicuous wearing of the transmitter, and a high-gain antenna for increased performance especially at long distances and with line-of-sight obstruction.
