The ALZO Clear Plexiglas Riser Platform is used in commercial product photography to create special effects; it can be used inside an imaging tent or standalone. The ALZO Clear Plexiglas Riser Platform produces shadowless images with only a slight reflection,. ALZO tents are recommended for use with this platform to reduce unwanted room reflections in the glossy surfaces.

This small riser platform fits perfectly into the ALZO 14 inch or 28-inch tent and raises the subject 2 inches. It includes a curved back panel to eliminate a horizon line in images when shooting at a low angle. The back panel is useful for draping jewelry like chains and pendants.  It is constructed of heavy 1/4 inch acrylic plexiglass and can support up to 10 pounds of weight.

This product carries an extended 5-year warranty.

This platform really improved our product pictures. No shadows now and no need to use crazy methods for holding our products up. Assists in keeping scale between similar parts.

Pros: Packing, reflection
Cons: Although durable, not scratch resistant

I have used one of these platforms before. It belonged to a friend but they hadn't cared for it properly and it was scuffed. So, I bought one for myself. I was very impressed by the packing which was great. It also comes with paper protective covering on the front and back of the platform and the riser. You can place any type of background beneath/behind the platform and it prevents hard shadows and the reflection is nice too. I have been looking for a protective film that I can use to prevent scratches, something like the films used to protect a camera LCD, but much larger. No luck finding anything that doesn't cost as much as the platform.
Bottom Line: Would recommend this to a friend? yes
