This scissor clip X-clamp is used to mount a variety of products to a suspended drop ceiling 1 inch T-bar support frame. It includes a 1/4 X 20 1/2-inch-long mounting screw. It is an important component of our all of our suspended ceiling support systems. We sell it here as an accessory.
The maximum safe supportable weight is dependent on the true physical ceiling attachment to the T-bar metal frame. Typical suspended ceilings have T-bar frame support wires placed at intervals and these support wires may not align with the location of your device and mount. We strongly recommended to add a steel support wire between the T-bar frame directly above the location of the X-clamp and securely fastened to the true ceiling. With the addition of this steel support wire directly over your mount location the maximum supportable weight is typically 4 kilos.
