Jewelry photography or small object photography is fun and easy with the ALZO Copy Stand. This Macro Tabletop Studio device is ideal for overhead (close-up) imaging of very small or flat objects like jewelry, coins, stamps, medication, and scientific work. The sturdy tilt angled aluminum camera support post is 29 inches high and has a 19-inch x 16-inch laminated solid composite base with white melamine finish.
The camera attaches to the support arm with a quick release plate, and the side wheel drives a rack and pinion for accurate dialing of the adjustable height. The screw below the quick release plate adjusts the drag resistance of the camera support (see image with screwdriver). There is a position locking thumb screw on the back of the height adjuster.
The solid and heavy-duty construction makes the ALZO Copy Stand for Macro Tabletop Studio a stable shooting system for professional commercial product photography of jewelry and small objects.
We recommend reading our close up photography information page to familiarize yourself with the common camera accessories used in macro close-up photography.
I really could not be more pleased with this stand. The price is fair and the quality is perfect. I discovered that I could slightly adjust screws behind the camera mount to help level and square my camera to the board for scanning film.
I use this stand to hold my camera with a macro lens and take pictures of both positive and negative film. I shoot tethered from my laptop with a very good results. The stand is very stable and easy to move the camera mount in very small increments. very pleased, exactly what I was looking for.
Excellent stand with great features. Best stand for the price compared to others.
The corner of the stand was however chipped (minor) during shipping.
A little lighter than expected, but appears to be sturdy and well built. It is also a bit taller than some of the other models on the market.I believe it will suit my needs well. Arrived quickly and was well packaged. Instructions included.
I had previously ordered a competitors model from the much larger NY company with the "&" between two letters. When it arrived, I sent it back unopened because in the meantime, upon further research, I learned that not only was the Alzo copy stand less expensive, it was better constructed and had more features -- an all metal camera attachment head instead of plastic. I'm very pleased with both the price and the quality.
