ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Set up a light stand with the tripod base fully extended and clamped tight. Fully extend the top section of the stand and lock it securely in place. 2. The mini-boom clamp is a 2 section clamp with several different diameter "clamp holes" to allow the clamp to be used on different diameter sections of light stands and booms. 3. Unscrew and remove the locking handle on the empty clamp section opposite the boom Arm. Remove the washer under the locking handle. Do not lose the washer. 4. Remove the empty outside half section of the clamp 5. Place the small opening of the inside section of the empty clamp onto the top section of the light stand about 3 inches below the top of the stand. 6. Replace the outside section of the clamp over the light stand. Replace the washer. Screw the locking handle onto the clamp until the clamp grips the light stand. Do not over tighten the locking handle. 7. Adjust the boom arm by loosening the locking handle on the clamp holding the boom arm. After adjustments have been made, tighten the clamp until it grips the boom arm securely. Do not over tighten. 8. For maximum stability, rotate the boom arm and position it over one of the legs of the light stand. Attach the light fixture and power cord to the 5/8” post end of the boom arm. Wrap the power cord around the boom arm and light stand such that the cord exits the light stand near the base. Slide the boom arm in the clamp until the boom arm is in balance. To compensate for the weight of the light, a small counter weight or sand bag can be fastened near the fixed counter weight. |
