| ***** (5 stars) Bobbee's Nikon remote camera trigger feedback |
| Product: Nikon remote camera trigger |
| by Bobbee from
NYC
Pros: small, works well, andit does not cost an arm and a leg
Cons: threadingthe adapter into the camera, little room for fingers
Best Uses: group shots and many other situations
Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This trigger worked right out of the box. Actually used it the day it arrived for a Sweet 16 party I had to shoot. Great for the group shots, when everyone can see you they tend to listen more. Nice, small, and the price was right. My only little issue is the screw fitting that engages the camera. Tight spot to get my fingers in there. I can, but it is a slight effort, otherwise great. |

| Product: ALZO Wireless Radio Shutter Release for Nikon |
| by Mike from
Loveland, CO Pros: Easy to use. Works as Described. Cons: No Serious Cons. Could use a more Deliberate on/off switch. Best Uses: Almost any Tripod Situations Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I am very pleased with this product. It is far superior to a similar product that I had also recently purchased via the internet. The only suggestion for improvement that I would recommend is that the on/off button on the receiver be modified to possibly work as a slide switch instead. This would help the problem of accidentally activating the receiver by inadvertent pressure that can happen even while being jostled around in a gadget bag. |

Teaneck, NJ Pros: Works really well. Cons: None Best Uses: Any shooting situation where shaking would be a problem. Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Ordered this item from Amazon and had a problem with the shutter release not working. Returned release to ALZO and they replaced it without any problem. I jumped the gun and thought it was taking too long to receive the replacement and it came the next day. My impatience. They did a good job. |

Atlanta, GA Pros: Works first and every time Cons: Has to hang from side of camera after hookup Best Uses: Wireless shutter release Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This shutter release is amazing, after I received it, installed the battery and attached it to my camera it worked perfectly. I have a Nikon D300s, I put the camera on my dining room table went outside into the front yard pressed the shutter release, and I could see the flash from the camera. I went across the street to the neighbors yard, got the same results. Thanks for this product. |
| **** (4 stars) Alzo Wireless on Nikon D300s |
| Product: Wireless RF Radio Shutter Release |
| by John from
Vista, California Pros: Fills the need for a remote shutter release system for the Nikon D300 series Cons: Lack of a hot shoe adapter Best Uses: Firing the camera shutter from a distance Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend The Nikon D300 series DSLR does not include a remote shutter release capability. The Alzo Wireless RF release fills that need admirably. I have used it quite successfully to trigger D300 continuous shutter releases to capture images of western scrub jays feeding from my hand and knee. I have fired the camera from 80' away through four walls of a home. It works great! My only complaint is that the transmitter does not include a hot shoe attachment for mounting on the camera. I used a velcro strip to attach the transmitter to the hot shoe so that it wouldn't dangle from the 9 pin connector cord. |

| Product: Wireless Radio Shutter Release for Nikon D300 D700 D200 |
| by Indiana Pete
from Indiana Pros: Small and
lightweight Cons: Transmitter antenna mount is marginal - see review notes Best Uses: As advertised Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I actually have two of these devices. The
first one I purchased arrived two days after placing the order and I tested
the unit on my D300 mounted on a tripod while a granddaughter and rode our
bicycles around in the camera field of view. The release worked flawlessly
with a maximum transmission distance of about 100'. I did not test it beyond
this distance since a) my normal requirement will be 20 to 40' and b) I can't
think of a worthwhile use at 300'. |

| ***** (5 stars) Does what it's supposed to do |
| Product: Wireless Radio Shutter Release 300 ft range for Nikon SLR |
| by Michael
from Fountain Inn, SC Pros: Always works as advertised Cons: less than sturdy build, receiver dangles from connecting cable Best Uses: Remote shutter release. There is no other use. Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend My past experience with ALZO has always been stellar so that influenced my decision to purchase from ALZO. Simply put, the product works flawlessly. A half press of the remote button displays a green light and the camera auto focuses. A full press displays a red light and the shutter is released. A full press on button in bulb setting opens the shutter and a second press closes it. Very nice instead of having to hold down the button. There is a rather cheap telescoping antenna on the sending unit, but the unit works well from as far as 100' away without extending the antenna. I simply haven't had a situation where I needed to be further away so I have no test data on that. A word of caution, the unit does not go to rest mode or shut down after a time period so forgetting to shut off the receiver unit will result in a dead battery overnight. Despite its few shortcomings, the unit does exactly what it is supposed to do and for the very economical price, it is well worth it. It is one of the most useful gadgets in my bag and I have recommended them to other serious photographers. |

| Product: Wireless Radio Shutter Release 300 ft range for Nikon Fuji SLR |
| by Bill from
Richmond, VA Pros: full
featured Cons: none Best Uses: nature, where human presence can be minimized; to control a 2nd camera at events like weddings Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I've shopped remote shutter releases, including the Nikon-branded ones like MC-36. I wasn't familiar with ALZO's product until I read about it from another user on photo.net. Given the bargain price, impressive feature list, etc., I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. It is solidly built and functions as advertised. I have to admit, I haven't put it through hard use yet, but I've tested its auto-focus capability, and used it at a distance of several hundred feet. It appears to perform up to its advertised specs. In addition, the service from ALZO was prompt and efficient, with plenty of info from the merchant while my order was in process. I would have no hesitation recommending it to others. |

| Product: Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon DSLR |
| by Jose from
Southeast Florida Pros: Cons: Best Uses: As designed Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Right out of the box the receiver would not work until I re-inserted the battery. After taking out the battery and installing it again before the unit would turn on several times I solved the problem by lightly burnishing the contacts on the battery and in the receiver just enough to not remove the tin plating on the contacts. The unit now works as advertised every time and at quite a respectable distance. Overall I am happy with my purchase - NOW !!! |

| by Barry Pros: the batteries alone are almost worth the cost of the unit Cons: the ready light on the receiver is hard to see Best Uses: Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Incredible value! | ***** (5 stars) Very helpful |
| Product: Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon Fuji SLR |
| by Richard
from Pittsburgh Pros: Very helpful in unique situations needing a second hand or the absence of a hand at the camera. Cons: If I thought long enough about the cons of the system, I might find something I don't like, but I doubt it. Best Uses: For me: Wildlife photography. Describe Yourself: Occasional Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I have found the digital wireless shutter release very helpful to photograph our neighborhood birds and animals without scaring them away. Also I use the release on location if I am alone and in need of a second hand to add some light onto a subject with a strobe or reflector. Or even as a person in the photograph. With the release, I can be that second hand or as an added person. So far the wireless release is working well and the price was very good also. I hope it will last a long time. |
