| Product: ALZO Large Softbox for Porta Flash Speedlight 24" x 36" |
| by George
from Upstate NY
Pros:
Quick assembly
Cons: Only thing that I would say is a very minor con, is the screw that attaches the Flashgun bracket to the Speedring need s to be a tad longer. This way when you screw it in it doesn't rub against the rim of the speed ring!
Best Uses: Weddings Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I was looking for the best/largest and most portable Softbox that would work with my Flashguns ont he streets of NY. After looking at all the reviews calling several competitors. I settled on the ALZO Large Softbox for Porta Flash Speedlight 24" x 36"! I must say that I am extremely happy not only with the quality of the product itself but the quality of the light output is amazing.
I would recommend this softbox to any Photographer that is looking for a reasonably priced and professionally constructed product that will add that perfect soft light to your pictures.
I would ask for one thing in the near future .... Please ALZO make a Medium Octobox ( 30 to 36 inches ) for the Speed light and I will be the first one on line to buy it.
Thank you from a happy Customer, |

from Honolulu, HI Pros: Portable, Pro quality for a fraction of the cost Cons: Trivial instructions Best Uses: Home Studio Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Very portable w/ pro quality, however it comes with trivial instructions (you must be good at puzzles). Most people can't afford softboxes of this size because they are upwards of $300, but this is definitely within anyone's price range for half the cost. |

from Belgium Pros: good quality for cheaper than other brands Cons: no stand Best Uses: Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend It's a good big softbox for not too much money. I doubt it if it has saved me money as I didn't get a stand with it. So I still have to buy that now. So a little disappointing actually. But the item itself is good quality. |

Xay from San Diego Pros: 24"x36", Nice built Cons: Setup takes longer Best Uses: fill flash for outdoor or main flash for single person portrait Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This is a nicely built softbox that works great. The only thing is that it's not as easy as other portable softboxes to setup. |

creativexposure from Purcellville, VA Pros: Lightweight, well-constructed, easy to assemble, two layers of diffusion fabric give beautiful, soft, even light, great piece of kit at a fantastic price. Compare with the Lastolite Ezybox at almost twice the price of the ALZO. Cons: Not really a "con" so much as a potential concern - the way the flash bracket assembles to the speedring results in a certain amount of stress being put on one of the very few plastic pieces in the construction (everything else is metal, fiberglass or cloth) - would like to see this area redesigned. But until it breaks (which may be never), it remains a potential concern rather than a concern. Best Uses: Portraits, "Strobist" figure photography, small-product photography Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I discovered ALZO products
when I was first in the market for a small softbox, and I bought their
15"x15" Small Softbox for Porta Flash Speedlights. Based on my experience
with the construction, performance and price of the small softbox, when I saw
they had come out with the larger 24" x 24" and 24" x 36" softboxes, I knew I
had to have one. I settled on the 24" x 36" because |
