| ***** (5 stars) Awesome Product!!!!!!!!!!! |
| Product: Flip Flash bracket w/umbrella kit |
|
by Eddie Labozzetta from Long Island,
New York
Pros: Everything about it and all you can do! You are only limited by your imagination!
Cons: That it took me so long to get one!
Best Uses: for any and all of your photo needs!!!
Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Being a professional photographer, I know it sounds funny that I never used a flash bracket before. I always used to use strobes and softboxes to get the jobs done. Lugging all that heavy equipment around to each gig gets very tedious as some of you know, and I'm not getting any younger. Set ups and break downs just meant that I would have to get there earlier and leave later. After an extensive search, I decided on this system and I could not be any happier! It's construction is very heavy duty yet lightweight and really does not add considerable weight to your camera. I am able to shoot all day long using the bracket. The fact that it extends to 24in. is AWESOME! The Flip Flash can configure to unimaginable positions and throw the light wherever you need it with pinpoint accuracy. It is very easy to use right out of the box, I really did not even need the instructions (being a guy of course, lol). It fits a wide variety of camera bodies, which I have noticed that other flash brackets are fixed and not adjustable at all or very limited, either in height, rotation of flash, or any of a multitude of configurations or accessory options. Weather you are a seasoned pro, or someone just starting out, the Flip Flash Bracket was made to be a part of your photography arsenal and can only enhance any photo shoot and take your photography to the next level. I have seen other flash brackets also that are twice the price if not more, that just in the reviews are unable to come close to the features offered in this Flash Bracket. If there was something better out there and for a reasonable price, I did not find it and thats because there is nothing better, Alzo Flipflash Bracket, I LOVE YOU!!!!! |

by Rewizard from Hollywood Beach,

Pros: Value and Quality of build
Cons: The Umbrella rod is a soft material and dents easily
Best Uses: Portrait work
Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Having been a serious amateur Photographer for over 30 years, I am always looking for "stuff" that is useful. I recently purchased a Panasonic GH1 to add to my collection and was focusing on Portrait work. I purchased the Bracket and Umbrella Kit and I can honestly say that it is the best accessory I have ever purchased. I have been shooting my 3 cats and getting their open eye color is of great import. This portable bracket and umbrella combination really did the trick. Could not be happier. I have now purchased several additional items from Alzo. The quality is top notch and their follow is as well. They are always available to answer questions. Highly recommended. |

| *** (3 stars) Umbrella Shaft |
| Product: Alzo Flip Flash® Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-Bar |
|
by Rich from Manchester, TN
Pros: Unit is compact and works well
Cons: Shaft on umbrella flimsy
Best Uses: Portrait and close up work
Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Overall the unit is great except for the shaft on the umbrella. When tightened in the holding fixture the shaft starts collapsing with very little pressure. After several uses the brass end piece falls out, the shaft becomes flattened and umbrella becomes loose allowing the umbrella to move. I would suggest a longer, say 2 inch, piece of solid material be placed in the end of the shaft so there is something solid to clamp to. Once I modified mine in this manner it now works great. Comment by ALZO: We recommend inserting the umbrella shaft a little further into the holding fixture so it sticks out about 1 inch on the other end. If you tighten it too close to the brass end, it wears out faster. |

Pros: EASY TO SETUP,GOOD PRICE, VERY STURDY
Cons: NONE
Best Uses: EVENTS, ON THE GO SHOOTING
Describe Yourself: Occasional Photographer
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I AM AN EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER AND I?VE HAD THIS FLASH BRACKET FOR SOME TIME, AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT I AM VERY PLEASED WITH IT! I HAVE SEEN OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS AND THEIR BRACKETS FLIP THE FLASH MEANING YOU HAVE TO TURN THE CAMERA, WHICH I IMAGINE COULD BE VERY TIRING AFTER A WHILE. WITH THE ALZO BRACKET, THE CAMERA FLIPS SO YOU ARE HOLDING IT IN THE SAME POSITION. NOT TO MENTION IT HAS A VERY PROFESSIONAL LOOK. THE SOFT HAND GRIP STAYS COMFORTABLE ALL THROUGH MY SHOOTING THE EVENT. I HAVE BIG HANDS AND THE BRACKET FITS PERFECT, JUST A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT ALZO ITSELF I LOVE THE WEB SITE AND HOW MUCH INFO THEY OFFER , STRAIGHT FORWARD, AND ALSO SHOWING YOU EXAMPLES OF HOW THE SETUPS SHOULD LOOK, MAKING YOUR DECISIONS ON WHAT EQUIPMENT YOU NEED VERY EASY! THE SHIPPING IS QUICK! I PLAN ON BUYING MORE OF THEIR PRODUCTS. THANK ALZO! |

by Chuck from West Kentucky
Pros: solid does the job and smooth
Cons: none really
Best Uses: when used with a mono pod makes a very stable and solid platform for a run and gun kind of job
Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer

For my use this is the ideal tool, makes it very easy to get the job done. It is heavy and I recommend using a mono pod with it, otherwise no complaints. I would recommend it to anyone that needs to shoot on the run and wants a stable camera platform to work with. Easy to use and I love it. |

by Mike from Hawaii

Cons: none so far
Best Uses: whenever you use your flash attachment
Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer

I have been using the Alzo Flash Bracket with my External Flash System for about seven months now on Night Football Games and Senior Shoots. It is quick adjusting from landscape to portrait, has great range with the height adjustment. The optional Light Modifiers (Umbrella and softbox) are great and work well. I'm thrilled I took the chance with this bracket as it has not failed me in any way. |

| Product: ALZO Flip Flash® Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-Bar |
|
by Jerome from Michigan
Pros: does the job it's supposed to do
Cons: heavy and not strong enough
Best Uses: Inside on-the-fly photography
Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
It does the job, but the assembly is not as strong as it could be. A more rigid and lighter material might be a good upgrade (like carbon or aramid fiber). |

| ***** (5 stars) For photo and video also |
| Product: ALZO Flip Flash® Camera Bracket Umbrella Kit for Nikon |
|
by Ra? from Spain
Pros: Light, quite small
Cons:
Best Uses: Family photos and videos
Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I?m very satisfied with the camera bracket. After some training I?m using it not just for photography but also for video. In photography, the combination of support and reflected light is terrific and gives you a lot of freedom with fantastic results. In video, as a holder for small to medium camcorders is perfect. I think that you have to address the bracket also for this kind of camcorders and probably you will have a lot of success. I had seen others items of your catalog like lighting sets and they look very professional and useful. I hope to have someone of this in the future. |

| ***** (5 stars) Essential Wedding Photo Equipment |
| Product: ALZO Flip Flash® Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-Bar |
|
by Terry from Missouri
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: On some cameras the quick detach bracket is in the way to change batteries. This is a camera design problem, not an equipment fault. Be sure to check it on your camera.
Best Uses: Wedding, Press, Portraits
Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Wedding photography requires sturdy, lightweight and adaptive equipment. The ALZO bracket is all these. The adjustable height can be quickly and easily adjusted to suit any circumstance. The ability to keep the flash in the same "on top" position while flipping the camera to the vertical format with the push of a button makes this bracket invaluable. The fully adjustable umbrella attachment is just what is required for the soft lighting needed for those intimate shots of the new couple. If you are serious about wedding and portrait photography, please consider this bracket as part of your standard equipment.

| Product: ALZO Flip Flash® Camera Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-bar |
|
by Gordon from Utah
Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I really like this product. It works fine with my Sony A300 with a hotshoe adaptor. I would buy it again. The only thing that I wish you would improve is the screw attachment to the camera bracket. One either needs to remove the lens to turn the camera on the bracket screw or place the bracket in the vertical position before screwing the camera on. One has to be careful during this procedure. The umbrella really magnifies the light of the strobe. It is bulky and heavy to hold up but even it is a portable studio. The off camera umbrella flash really makes a difference in the outcome of the pictures. Comment by ALZO: The easiest way to attach your camera to the bracket is by sliding off the quick release mount on the base of the bracket. Untighten the screw on the side of the mount, slide it off the base, then screw it on to the bottom of your camera, then slide it back on to the bracket base and tighten the side screw. |

| **** (4 stars) Flip Flash bracket and umbrella kit with iTTL cord |
| Product: ALZO Flip Flash® Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-Bar |
|
by Yarg from Athens, Alabama
Pros: Works well, easy to use.
Cons: Due to flash/umbrella placement light tends to be bottom heavy
Best Uses: Events, quick portraits
Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I recently used the Flip Flash bracket with umbrella and the iTTL sync cord. It was used at a wedding reception. The product worked quite well, I shot on full auto using the iTTL with some use of full power manual on the flash for longer throws. The only caveat was as the supplied kit places the flash high in the umbrella it tends to make the light bottom heavy but only gets really noticeable at say ten feet on. The optional flash/umbrella centering piece should rectify that problem I would believe. That piece should be part of the kit. Overall I am quite pleased with it. As an aside you can get some nice ambient to flash ratios that work well with quick portraits. |
