Product: ALZO Flip Flash ® Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-Bar
by HarryG from Michigan

Pros: Light, Flexible, provision to keep the camera from falling over when you set it down (Nice!)

Cons: None that I can find

Best Uses: Gets the flash away from eye level

Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have bought several lighting products from Alzo, and have found them to be of high quality and perform exactly as advertised. Recently bought their Flip Flash with Umbrella adapter, and found it missing one small part. Sent an e-mail, and the parts was promptly sent to me.

Great products from a stand-up company.

**** (4 stars) Flip Flash Bracket w/Tilting Mount
Product: Camera Bracket FLIP FLASH w/Tilting Mount
by RDPM from Staunton, VA

Pros: Sturdy, Adjustable, Professional Appearance

Cons: None

Best Uses: Any photography where you want the flash off camera and want a better flash setup than an on-camera flash can accommodate.

Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I've used this bracket once since purchase and it performed well. Overall, the bracket feels sturdy and is more than sufficient to hold my Canon 50D w/24-70mm 2.8 EF lens. Attaching the shutter release and flash sync cord is easy and takes little time. The design of the bracket allows for easy storage. I did add a quick-release attachment so I don't have to remove the plate from the bottom of my camera and so I can quickly change from bracket to tripod.

***** (5 stars) Best piece of kit I've owned
Product: ALZO Flip Flash ? Camera Bracket w/Umbrella Mount H-Bar
by J. Skinner from Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Pros: -Possibilities of light angles.
-Attachments available
-Quality of material used for the build.

Cons: -Getting the camera off the bracket using the slide can take getting used to.
-Vertical to horizontal slide is just a tad wiggly, but not to a point of being a real issue. To be honest I'm hard pressed to find a CON

Best Uses: Event - Wedding, any place you need to have complete control over light attached to you.

It's one of the only products I've ever purchased that I phoned ALZO the date I took delivery to tell them how happy I was with this bracket. The pictures and video's don't do this bracket justice. I've had brackets made by the so called "PRO" systems, and I've used budget brackets.. This is in a class by itself. Extremely well made and assembled with almost endless combinations and angles for one's light. The rubber handle is just the right size. But the true beauty of this bracket is the height one can achieve with the extensions. This bracket used with my Quantum QFLASH system is everything I'll need for weddings, event and some portrait work I do. I should have gone in for the remote trigger, but didn't realize at the time they had one.. If you purchase this bracket, it will be the last one you'll ever need.

***** (5 stars) Time saver
Product: Flash bracket w/ tilt head and remote sync cord
by David from Orangevale, CA

Pros: Ease of use. Quick change from H/V format shooting.

Cons: The quick release bracket does not have a threaded insert, so the bracket has to be removed each time you require the camera to be used off of the bracket on another tripod.

Best Uses: I have used it for some portrait work, but it is excellent for biological macro illuminating of subjects.

Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have been looking for an affordable flash bracket for obtaining macro images in the field. Many of the designs from the major manufacturers cost in excess of $400.00 and include dedicated flashes. I found the Alzo Bracket not only affordable, but I can utilize my own flash. The time saving feature of vert/horiz shifting without having the flash repositioned is a wonderful time saver for anyone who is familiar with nature or biological photography. When events are unfolding, you have seconds, not minutes to change camera locations and formatting.
Thanks for a well-made and well thought out design.

**** (4 stars) Versatile tool
Product: ALZO Flip Flash ? Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-Bar
by Bill from Southeast Georgia, USA

Pros: Great versatility

Cons: Heavy and can be awkward to use

Best Uses: Increases camera/flash versatility and helps control shadows.

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I've used my new ALZO Flip Flash Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-Bar several times over the holidays and found it to be very strong and versatile. Be certain though, that if you use it mounted on a tripod that the tripod is very strong and sturdy.

The only negative is that the flip platform will sag a couple of degrees under the weight of my Nikon D90 w/18-200 lens and MB-D80 power pack so I have to level my tripod accordingly using a small precision level.

I am very pleased with the Alzo flip bracket. When I received it and opened the box I was surprised that it came with a carrying case made of sturdy material. The bracket flip from vertical to horizontal works with ease and it feels sturdy with no weak links. I use it For Weddings and events and pleased with it.

**** (4 stars) Good bracket
Product: ALZO Flip Flash Camera Bracket w/Umbrella Mount H-Bar
by Daniel from SSF, CA

Pros: excellent bracket
easy to flip
great for bounce flash

Cons: HEAVY

Best Uses: wedding photography
walk around shooting of events

Describe Yourself: Occasional Photographer

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This bracket is great... does exactly what I needed it to do, while maintaining flash location.

However, the bracket itself is sort of heavy. Sometimes just feels like too much bulk for no reason. Lighter material should be fine.

***** (5 stars) One of the best Camera Brackets!
Product: Camera Bracket FLIP FLASH® ALZO Digital w/ Tilting Flash Umbrella Mount H-Bar
by Jay from Delaware

Pros: Flexible heights for flash locations

Cons: The shutter release takes a while to get used to it's trigger point

Best Uses: No redeye and helps kill shadows!

Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased this bracket last October after being recommended by a fellow photographer.

To say the least, I was not disappointed. The bracket gives me the flexibility to get the flash at the height I want at times and still allows the flash to be low when needed.

I also got the shutter release attachment for a Nikon. It's pretty good, but it takes a little to get used to.

**** (4 stars) Portable Studio Quality
Product: ALZO Flip Flash? Bracket Umbrella Kit w/H-Bar
by Bowdie from Yarmouth, Maine

Pros: Great light quality.

Cons: Weighty. A little awkward walking through a crowd with the umbrella over your shoulder.

Best Uses: I recently did some product photography with the umbrella. The bracket is great all the time.

Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I am a retired professional photographer with over 40 years experience in the industry. I was never a wedding photographer but it seems that since retiring every relative, friend and even barmaid needs to have a wedding done and since I'm retired, it should be a favor. The flip bracket takes care of the annoying sidelite flash problem when using my Speedlite. The bracket itself is a little weighty but really well built. The umbrella and all the mounting hardware are equally well built and are a great asset for a quick, on site bridal portrait. I haven't tried using it for the whole bridal party yet as the umbrella seems to be fairly directional. The remote trigger release is mounted on the bracket and when I can train myself to use my left hand I'm sure it'll come in handy. Overall, I'd say this set up is a winner.

Comment by ALZO: The ALZO Flip Flash Bracket weighs only 1.2 lbs.
