I've found the Nissin Power Zoom Porta Flash to do a great job time after time and to be very easy to use. I used to shy away from artificial light because it seemed to be complicated, but the Nissin flash is super easy to use, especially in auto mode. The unit is very flexible, adjusting left, right, and up/down. It's a great tool in my camera bag. I wish I had bought it sooner.

Cons: Needs more complete instructions for the inexperienced customer

I recently purchased my Di622 Flash Unit in preparation to photographing the wedding of some friends. I knew the installed flash on my Nikon D50 was OK for casual photography but not for this situation. ALZO's website was a welcome find for me, the difference in price compared to a Nikon Speedlight was great, and I decided to go to ALZO Digital. The produce was promptly delivered in excellent condition, and I proceeded to use it immediately. I would like to have seen more in the way of usage guidelines since this was my first flash "upgrade" but I didn't have any trouble after a little creative thinking. I am pleased with the results in my photography! My only real issue is that the unit "fails to fire" about 20% of the time during busy use but will fire on taking a second shot. This happened during use at a church function for children, and at my friend's wedding. It could well be my inexperience with the flash, and I will certainly not give up on a great flash unit!
