Pros: Well built, flexibility, good value for money, works just like it should.

Cons: Front diffuser cloths are tricky to fit onto the reflector box and look somewhat like an after though.

Best Uses: Studio still-life, product shots...and portraiture in conjunction with a 600 EX (1200W) key light.

I did a lot of research before I purchased my ALZO 600 lighting setup. I'm a stickler for both build quality & flexible functionality, and I'm happy to report (that after 1 year) these lights work really well for me with no problems to-date.
Everything has a nice, solid, sturdy feel to it and I like the fact that almost every part is made of metal. Having the 4-way switching to control each bulb is very useful when working with subtle studio still-life situations, product shots, etc, and there's certainly plenty of available power (ie light) source. The 15" x 15" reflector boxes are a perfect size for working with my studio floral subjects and most product items.
The ALZO 600 line has a somewhat 'retro' design-look to it (in my opinion)...so it's not uber-fancy or ultra high-tech. However, it's well built, it works great, and is good value for money. The only negative comment that I will mention here (although I'll still give it 5 stars overall)...is the diffuser cloths used. These diffuser panels are tricky to fit (stretch) onto the front of the metal reflector box...plus they are kinda cheap looking. I think it would have been much nicer if ALZO had finished off this product with a quality (Velcro) fitting and more substantial front diffuser to give it that proper professional look, etc.

Buying lighting is expensive. We were extremely happy to find Alzo, we saved more than half price without having to cut on the quality. The service was excellent from beginning to end and the lights are amazing! All of our future business will be with Alzo. Thanks
