Good packaging. Slight buzz from 1 bulb but I only use them for photo lighting so it is not an issue.

At a rated 170W equivalent I was a little disappointed by the spread of light. Seems to drop off very quickly. Apparently this is typical of CFL's. Even with a claimed 340W (2 bulbs) I needed them quite close to the subject.

I use the lights to photograph items I list on eBay. Although I have a keen interest in photography I have not used 'proper' lighting before. Not using a softbox or umbrella at this time.

Can't say enough good about the 55ook bulbs. I shoot commercial photography for YouTube videos and a lot of food-shoots for restaurants, and these Alzo bulbs always make my work look its best.

Now, lighting technique is still very important, and you must adjust your camera to the proper white balance for this lighting, but with the 5500k's I can mix some window light, and even add some fill-flash, and the colors all seem to match with my white balance setting.

The bulbs are very large at the base, so make sure your fixtures can support them, or there's an optional extender Alzo sells that can help there.

An excellent choice for quality and price for copystand lighting. Although the bulbs are longer than I expected, I have had no problems using them with a mini-repro stand. The lighting is even, no hot spots, and not overpowering. Depending upon your subject you may want to add a sparkle light.

Customer service was very fast via email and my questions were accurately addressed. It's all good!

These bulbs are very good for gem stone and jewelry photos, and have a very long life. I purchased these bulbs not as replacements, but to expand my photo studio setup. The original bulbs have been in intermittent use for several years, and are still providing a very good color balance for photographing colored gems.

Purchased these bulbs through Amazon to experiment with a continuous lighting source. Shipped to me very quickly, cost was nominal. All four worked when I tried them. Checked them with my camera at 5500k and white was white. Can't ask for anything more, for the price. Satisfied with seller, satisfied with product.

Using these bulbs in a photo booth application and they provide rich color on the subjects. Currently running 2 bulbs and they alloy me to shoot an f2.8 at 1/40th at about 1.5 meters through a diffuser. I will probably add a third bulb for a faster shutter. Cool running and low noise is also nice. Cannot comment on longevity as they have not been put through there paces time wise, but they deliver performance wise.

I purchased a 45 watt CFL and upon receipt found the fluorescent tube loose within the base. I called customer support and explained what I received. Alzo digital shipped a replacement CFL within one day. They did not request the defective CFL to be returned. They believed what I said. Imagine a company with competitive prices and service after the sale. Sounds like a winning combo to me.

I am using it for video in a DIY softbox. The lights are a little large but the same size as other 45 w CFLs. However, you can actively use them for video either as fill light or as a key with DIY barn doors. I would recommend as the color is right on and would certainly buy again. Just be sure to manually white balance.
